Go Green The kitchen is the centerpiece of your home; a functional space to provide nourishment, but also a social hub, a focal point for your home, a piece of art and entertainment. The options for customization are endless. Almost as endless as the options to customize design are the options to create you dream space with non-toxic finishes such as: natural oil wood finish, low VOC painted lacquer and the most innovative non toxic staining. Door material options range from (NAUF) no added urea-formaldehyde bamboo, NUAF core board, various wood veneers and certified solid woods to create your dream kitchen. All cabinetry options are created with style and functionality as the driving force behind design, the environment and your health as top priorities. Whenever possible we work with Habitat for Humanity and other local charities to recycle your old cabinetry.
All Healthiest Home Cabinetry come standard with NAUF solid plywood interiors, soft close hardware and (space permitting) recycling centers.

Step one: Visualize your kitchen.
What do you use your kitchen for? Are you an entertainer? Are you a self proclaimed chef? Are you a pack rat? What colours do you like? What materials make you feel good? Determine your kitchen needs and we will guide you through the rest.
Step two: Choose Your Design
It has never been decreed that "thou shalt only choose vertical doors". Browse through magazines, our gallery of past designs. Mix it up and throw in some horizontal doors, or run a pattern on your wall with stacked square size cabinets. Run your cabinets up to the ceiling for added space. Add big pot drawers for added functionality and storage. Take the doors off for open shelving. Go traditional contemporary or country cottage style. Let your creative juices flow!

Step Five: Choose Your Finish
Natural oil finishes are gaining in popularity. They have had a strong presence in Europe for years and are now starting to gain traction in Canada. Natural oil finish allows you to see and feel the wood grain. If eco-oils aren't your thing, we can do low-VOC lacquer (matte, distressed or glossy) or a simple clear natural finish.
Step Six: Choose Your Accessories
Like wine? Throw in a wine rack. Feeling lazy? Choose a lazy Susan. Feeling funky? add some funky handles. Spice racks, tall pantries, cook book shelves, sliding compost bins are just a few of the available accessories. All kitchen come standard with a baseline recycling unit or a credit towards the unit of your choice. Accessories can help define your kitchen and improve its functionality.
Step Seven: Light One Up
Light up your kitchen with energy efficient options to create just the right mood. Valence lighting, interior cabinets lighting, above cabinet lighting or toe kick lighting can all be used to create a certain ambiance.
